The library is a key to the world of knowledge and acquisition of knowledge will help enlighten the personality of an individual at a mental, spiritual and vital levels and will the social virtues and foster intellectual development to make students a worthy citizen.
The central library was set up in the college in the year 1984 The collection of 17194 books acquired. Now library is having 19 print reading materials. However, the reprographic services etc is started in the year.
In socio-economic development of the students who belongs to poor and slum area around the college and to supplement formal education with reading material was established to undertake the responsibility of the providing reading by organizing and storing it's maximum use by students.
The central library is the point of view of the strength of books and services. It has occupied central position in the socio economic, cultural and educational development of the students of college. The importance of this library lies not only it's large collection of 17194 books, periodical and other reading material but it's collection has certain peculiar feature. The priceless treasure of large number of manuscripts and covering a wide range of subjects i.e.literature, social science, pure science, vocational, arts, commerce and others, which gives it a place of pride.
A wel settled and well managed library is a foundation of modern educational structure. To keep pace with the ever increasing field of knowledge, the central library is being updated from time to time.
Library has been computerized using SOUL 3.0 software of INFLIBNET. The Library is fully automated with the SOUL software of INFLIBNET since 2011 and later updated with SOUL 2.0 and SOUL 3.0 software. The process of Acquisition, Ordering, Cataloguing, and Circulation is done through SOUL 3.0 software. The books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. Borrowers Ticket and Book Cards are Bar-coded. Books are processed with bar-coded spine labels. For effective implementation of Integrated Library Management System, Library has 01 Server System, 2 client. one is issue return purpose and second is Web OPAC, and member login, Computers for services, OPAC and Network Resource Centre, Printer, Barcode reader, Internet. Because of Mobile OPAC students search library catalogue any time and where.
