About Department

The Department of Botany at Takshashila Mahavidyalaya was established as a part of the Science faculty to provide quality education in plant sciences. The department, along with life science disciplines, has been functioning as a learning centre since recent years and offers undergraduate courses in Botany.

The department focuses on the study of plant diversity, structure, physiology, ecology and economic importance of plants. It aims to develop scientific knowledge through theory, practical experiments, field visits and environmental awareness activities.

Well-equipped laboratories and experienced faculty members support students in gaining practical knowledge and research skills in plant sciences.
