Nutrition Week was organized by the Home Economics Department under Takshashila College, run by Shri Dadasaheb Gavai Charitable Trust. Internationally, 1st September to 30th September is celebrated as Nutrition Month. In this regard, the students of the Home Economics Department of the college organized a Nutrition Matka Rally on 24th September 2024. The Nutrition Matka Rally was inaugurated by the Principal of the college, Dr. Madhuri Phule, Head of the Pali Department, Dr. Rekha Wankhade, as well as Anganwadi workers and majority of women and girls from Sham Nagar area. The Nutrition Matka Rally was led by the Head of the Home Economics Department, Prof. Sangeeta Meshram. The main objective of the rally was to convey the importance of nutrition to the masses and create awareness about diet and nutrition.
